What we do

A few things we love doing

Statuary repair

Refinishing statuary should be a requirement! There are so many treasures out there, battling the elements in our gardens, on our porches, sitting quietly in the splendor. Yet when their beauty fades, do we love them less? They becomes unsightly and unfortunately many folks will just dispose of them. PLEASE, I beg you to take a second look! Concrete, cast aluminum, iron garden decor is becoming a thing of the past, being replaced with resin staues that will crack and discolor in a very short time. Metal ornaments and chimes that rust into jagged poisonous beasts... as a professional gardener, they were the worst, always keeping me up to date on my tetanous shots. They still have plenty of life, though. It saddens me to see so much filling the landfill. Especially all that plastic resin stuff. It can ALL be refinished and I'm here to help. I've had a number of very old and extremely loved pieces come through my studio. Mr Fox was in pretty rough shape with cracks and chips in his concrete, faded paint and a good deal of "character" having spent years on a rooftop garden in the elements. His owners absolutely ADORE him and he is very old. With a lot of TLC, he went home to carry on his daily dose of garden Joy. Face it, you bought that peice because you loved it. We all age but are of no less value. I can fix it.

for the home and office

From decorating your home and office to finding a unique gift or pampering yourself, a commissioned piece of art is made to match your personality. People come to me with these GREAT ideas for a special gift but do not have the means to execute their vision. Like the set of shot glasses I did of a legendary Moonshiner, a model train car with the company name and colors hand painted for the business owner, the favorite denim jacket embellished with a meaningful symbol. I am always surprised at the imagination of my clients and grateful for the trust they put into me. I have companies come to me with some really unusual requests and, even if it is something I've never done, I do my research and deliver what they need. Flexibility in my business was a necessity from the beginning. I started out painting on request and without fear, learning as I went, on my own. That was my training. Listen, work out a plan and get it done. I am BIG on re-purposing and recycling, often to be found wrestling curbside toss-aways into my Jeep. When I see a piece of furniture with good bones, I can't help but think, "What could that become?" I occasionally have refinished pieces available for sale but, fortunately they don't stay long. I love to see someone fall in love with a piece I painted that would otherwise have gone to a landfill.llllll
